Georgianna Kirchmeier

Georgianna E. Kirchmeier a long time resident of Glendale, NY passed away peacefully in Newtown Connecticut on November 20, 2021 at the age of 94.  She was the beloved wife of the late Bob Kirchmeier; beloved mother to Bob Kirchmeier Jr, Ginger Brochu, Nancy Galiano, Susan O'Malley, and Janice DeDeo.  She was a loving grandmother to Tommy and Ryan Kirchmeier, Karen and Diane Brochu, Peter and Gregory Galiano, Eddie, Jimmy and Danny O'Malley, and Carolyn and Jennifer DeDeo and a cherished great-grandmother to Michael, Isabella, Nathan, Nadine, AJ, Taylor, Jimmy, Danny, Madeline and Alec with Baby Kirchmeier (BK) on the way, due in May 2022.
Georgianna was one of five siblings who were all raised in Glendale where she was married and resided for most of her life.
She was employed for twenty-five years in the purchasing department at St. John's University retiring in 1993.
She spent her last two- and one-half years at Maplewoods Assisted Living Facility in Newtown, CT where she died peacefully with her family by her bedside.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Parkinsons Foundation or Macular generation Research.
