Mr. McFadden was active in state and national organizations such as the New York State Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (NYAHSA) where he served as Vice Chairman and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). He also served as Treasurer of the Audubon Partnership for Economic Development. In 1994, AAHSA awarded Mr. McFadden and Isabella Geriatric Center the Hobart Jackson Social Responsibility Award. In the spring of 1997, NYAHSA presented Mr. McFadden with its highest honor, the Lawrence E. Larson Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the care of the elderly in New York State.
